Closet America on 2013 “WOOD 100” List
Custom closet company makes its third appearance on the list, highlighted in the September issue for customer service
Closet America, a leading home professional closet organization manufacturer and installer headquartered in Lanham, Maryland, announced that the company has earned a spot on the Annual WOOD 100 Report of fast-growing North American woodworking companies. With over a 13% increase in sales in 2012, this marks Closet America’s third appearance on the list as the highest ranked and fastest growing closet company in North America.
Wood & Wood Products magazine, a publication of Woodworking Network, said, “Successful firms lock up business through a combination of service, skills, and sustainability. Obtaining and retaining good employees and developing new sales markets are also among the winning strategies used by these woodworking firms [on the WOOD 100 list].”
Wood & Wood Products magazine’s parameters for the WOOD 100 are not only to recognize sales growth, but also to pay tribute to those companies that have grown better. They highlighted a select few companies from the list in the September 2013 issue and featured Closet America for their customer service. The magazine noted, “Service and customer satisfaction are key ingredients to an organization’s ability to obtain and retain customers.” In last year’s WOOD 100 issue, Closet America was featured for their technology integration. This year’s issue also marks the second year in a row that Closet America was featured on the cover of the magazine.
Skip LaBella, president of Closet America, was proud to appear on this year’s list, and remarked on the reasons behind Closet America’s continued growth. “We give our customers value for their money by enhancing the customer experience through 3-D computer technology, custom manufacturing, and our unyielding focus on customer service. Our factory team concept oversees projects from beginning to end, and our ‘screen-to-machine’ approach combines design, engineering and manufacturing for a very positive customer experience. It’s why 97% of our customers would recommend Closet America.”
The firm’s efforts have gained notice, notes Joshua Kiernan, marketing manager. This includes: the Angie’s List Super Service Award for 2011 and 2012, the 500 Top Remodel for 2012 and 2013, Remodeling 550 List for 2011, 2012 and 2013, WOOD 100 List, and Guild Master Award for exceptional customer service and satisfaction for 2011, 2012 and 2013.
LaBella notes that the company’s success would not be possible without the dedication of his employees. “Our unyielding focus on customer service and the complete dedication from every individual who makes up the Closet America family is why we continue to be successful. Our employees have completely bought in to owning the customer experience from start to finish – product development, design, manufacturing, and installation are all delivered with world class service.”
