Closet America Announces President’s Club and Closet America University at 2019 Launch Meeting

LANDOVER, MD.—Closet America held its 2019 launch meeting in early January, revealing its new President’s Club for top designers and Closet America University, a new training facility for designers and installers.

Founded in 2009, Closet America is a premier manufacturer and installer of custom home organization systems for closets, home offices, pantries and garages. It is locally owned and operated, with a manufacturing plant, distribution center, corporate headquarters, administrative offices and showroom in Landover, Md.

Closet America designers and vendors attended the launch meeting on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3, 2019 at the Closet America corporate headquarters. The event featured internationally known executive speech coach Gwen Resick-Rennich, who shared effective communication strategies for becoming a successful influencer.

Highlights of the two-day event included Closet America founder and President Skip LaBella’s announcement of the launch of the President’s Club, which offers the company’s top designers an opportunity to win a trip for two to Costa Rica in March 2020 for meeting sales goals this year.

LaBella also announced the creation of Closet America University, a new training facility at the corporate headquarters for designers and installers to expand their expertise on the design, measure and installation of systems.

“We want to empower and develop our team to reach and even exceed their potential,” LaBella said. “The President’s Club was created to reward their hard work, and Closet America University will position them for tremendous success.”

The company’s designers toured the state-of-the-art, 4,000-square-foot showroom, met with vendors and learned about new products, including an innovative wall bed, garage storage systems and drawer front options.

Christina Relyea, sales and marketing manager for JB Cutting, was one of the launch meeting attendees.

“Closet America is a group of highly engaged individuals that believe in continuous improvement in order to bring the utmost to their designs and customer interactions,” she said. “I think that’s why the partnership between JB Cutting and Closet America works so well. Our organizational values are in alignment and where there is teamwork and collaboration, great things can be achieved.”

Other partners in attendance included Richard DeMarco, Richelieu Hardware market development manager of the U.S. closet segment, and John Davies of HandiSOLUTIONS.®
