Closet America In the Community

Closet America specializes in making spaces more beautiful. While we mainly focus on spaces within homes, we’re always in search of ways to make our community stronger, happier, and more organized. After all, everyone can benefit from an organized space, and we have found creative ways to contribute to some great causes over the years.

Closet America manufactures its products locally for local homeowners in the area. Our strong roots in the region motivate us to give back to the community that we call home. From veterans’ organizations to high school homecomings, Closet America has pitched in to help our DC metropolitan neighbors on many occasions. We participate in local events and nonprofit endeavors all throughout the year, and we enjoy lending our closet expertise to good causes. Here are some of our favorites:

Closet America Supports Homes for Our Troops

We’re honored to be supporting Homes for Our Troops by designing and donating custom closets for both Marine Corporal Marcus Dandrea and Army Sergeant Steven Curry in the state of Virginia. Since its inception in 2004, the privately funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Homes for Our Troops has built more than 190 specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured veterans post-9/11, enabling them to rebuild their lives. We plan to continue our support for this great cause.

Closet America Supports D.C. Design House

In 2008, D.C. Design House in NW Washington, D.C. began as an event to raise money for Children’s National Health Systems. Closet America joined forces with the nonprofit in the spring of 2014 and transformed the closet area of the home’s featured guest bedroom. While it started as a single event goal, D.C. Design House is now an annual regional design attraction that has raised more than $1 million over the last six years.

Closet America Supports Local Events Big & Small

In September 2014, Closet America donated the materials needed to build a Flintstones float for the Broadneck High School homecoming parade. And while we don’t want to take all the credit, we like to think our contribution had something to do with Broadneck’s 49-0 football win that day! Our location is in the heart of the DC metropolitan area and inspires our designers to create beautiful designs and unique spaces for our neighbors. As fully licensed and insured professionals, we bring skill and enthusiasm to our work – whether it’s in your home, or for the greater good of the community.
