Who is Installing Your Closet System?
< 1 , by Closet America, on Jul 20, 2011
Some “custom” closet companies advertise that their closets will be installed by “licensed and insured independent professionals.” So who is responsible when there is a warranty issue?
The manufacturer will most likely tell you that the closet components were fine when they left the factory. Quite often, they will tell you to contact the dealer where you purchased the closet. The dealer will have to track down the installer, who will have to report their findings back to the dealer, who in turn will try to work it out with the manufacturer. The manufacturer may ship parts to the dealer, who will coordinate with the installer to have the problems fixed. The circle keeps going.
There are too many people involved, and you are much better off dealing with a closet company that manufactures and installs every closet system they sell. With Closet America, all of our work – including installation – is covered by our transferrable double-lifetime guarantee. Everyone who works for Closet America is an employee – even our installers. From price quote, to manufacturing, to installation, to warranty work – you only deal with Closet America, without the run around.
