Holiday Gift Guide for The Organizer in Your Life

2 minute read, by Closet America, on Dec 18, 2015

When it comes to gift giving, sports lovers and history buffs are easy to buy for, but what about the meticulous organizers in your life?  It might not come as a surprise to you that the de-cluttering aficionados at Closet America have a few ideas—here are some of our favorite gifts, from one organizer to another.

Powder Room Upgrade

The bathroom is a prime location for clutter: whether it’s makeup, brushes, and hair ties, or essential products for a clean shave. Get rid of the clutter and gift them something that will knock their fuzzy socks off.

For her, a makeup carousel can store all of her makeup products and offer easy access for rushed mornings. For him, a functional hanging toiletry case can keep all his products up and off the counter.

If you’re looking for a gift that can spruce up any bathroom, wicker bins or baskets are great options. Your friend or family member can use them to store extra toilet paper or rolled-up towels to ensure they don’t run out while guests are visiting.

Necessary Ingredients

When gifting for an already organized kitchen, it’s important to think outside the box. For everyday cleaning supplies like soap and sponges, consider gifting a cake stand—the elevated height will clear up counter space and give the room an extra pop of color. The same idea works well for frequently used ingredients like olive oil, salt, and pepper, too.

Take a different spin on a kitchen staple and gift a large cutting board. Instead of purchasing a few small boards, think about investing in one large board that can maintain its location on the counter and serve as a perch for other cooking supplies, too.

Finally, a spice rack can organize a messy cabinet or kitchen drawer and make it easy to grab what you need when cooking.

Technically Speaking

If your friends and family are like most, they probably have one, if not multiple, computer devices lying around the house and endless amounts of cords and plugs as well. Switch up your gift giving this season and give them something to organize the countless gadgets and cords they already have.

Different organizational systems can keep cables from getting tangled. Better yet, they can keep cords, headphones, and other devices organized while on the go.

For smaller devices, consider gifting a charging station so your organized loved ones can keep all of their tech devices in one area. Doing so will help remove the clutter created by scattered phones and tablets. A charging station is also convenient for visiting guests as well—something we all can expect during the holidays.

The Finishing Touches

With only a few days left to wrap up your holiday shopping, we hope this list will inspire you to think creatively about gift giving this year. Remember: giving a gift that’s both beautiful and useful is key—whether you’re picking out a present for your organized cousin or designing a custom closet.

Happy holidays, from the Closet America family to yours!
